The Reason

I was asked by my brother, why am I writing a blog. So I chose my blog to answer him. And luckily, you will get to find out too. My normal tendency would be to give an elaborate speech then clearly state the reason but I am just going to say it. I want to make some money. Extra money to be more specific. For the sake of being clear; I am not doing this for money.

So Don't be confused. I post on my blog with the hope of getting paid but i write and share for free. A matter of fact I am always talking or sharing with people. But as my mother calls me an opportunist I grasped this opportunity like that little opportunist I know I am. Here is an opportunity to earn from something I would do anyway. Hence I chose to earn. Earning while Learning. Learn then share; share and learn.

Understanding Money

The driving principle for me writing a blog at this stage in life is to be 'Making Money in My Sleep'. For those who know me as agent Howell this is what I call Project 3M's. And the best part is, it is not a top secret mission so under this big project you can have your own project; Project 2MYs. Hope you guessed right. (Making Money in Your Sleep).

The way to making money in your sleep is understanding the different economic systems available. Basic understanding is necessary. I may also say basic knowledge is good enough. Then you will see the type of system we are living under today. Majority of the countries in the world today have mixed economies. Jamaica's is mixed also; mixed characteristics of market and command economy. Some Jamaicans have the hustler mentality. What I call the 'Hustler Gene', so they take advantage of the market side of the economy. It is by the characteristics and principles of a market economy that the masses can get rich.

Using the definition of market economy from Dictionary.com as

"a capitalistic economic system in which there is free competition and prices are determined by the interaction of supply and demand". (that is the simplest I could find for the moment)

we see how everyone is free to compete for the goods and services as well as the sale for the goods and services at freely determined prices by supply and demand. It is simply buying from those who have and selling to those who want.There are ways that I may term tools, in this day, that ensure your money invested or worked is multiplied or added to by even the second. Investopedia states that money is an officially-issued legal tender generally consisting of currency and coin. Money is the circulating medium of exchange as defined by a government. So because some of us want more money to trade for more goods/ services we unlock the powers of the 'hustler gene' and start flexing our economic muscle. With enough strength (from training) we start using the tools the system offers to make more money. Production, investment and distribution are generalized ways of making money in our economy. Blogging is just another way to earn in our economy.

Earning with a Blog

According to Top men's magazine, in the article, The Top 10 Ways To Make Fast Money Online, blogging was named at #10 along with social media sites under the heading Affiliate Marketing. Understanding Affiliate marketing will let most of you realize how much you are missing out spending vast amount of time on Facebook and still complain that you have no money.

Before I go any further, especially after perhaps offending some readers by highlighting their laziness yet complaining, I must say that I am no financial guru o genius. I am not any big shot accountant or financier. I have never worked in the banking or finance industry.

I am just using my common sense and the tools our dispensation offers us.(I am just sorry I did not find out about this earlier in life)

AFFILIATE MARKETING
So affiliate marketing is defined as the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. If you have a website, a blog, a Facebook or Twitter account you are positioned for any of these 3, chances in affiliate marketing which maybe a great way for you make money fast. Virtually every major company online, including Amazon, WalMart, Citibank, and many, many more have affiliate programs available so that you’re able to advertise and recommend their products online and they pay you for your site.

Working

The best employees are those that work 24hrs/ 7days/ 52week/century/ age/ aeon you get the picture. But is there such an employee? Some of you are saying no right now. More of you are wishing you had said yes so u could get the prize at the end of this paragraph. But the right answer is no. Yes, no is the answer. Ready to collect your prize?

Well there is no prize. And the answer is no only if u are thinking about a human employee. There is such an employee. Any resource tool used in our present trading systems can be an employee. Therefore, money is your best employee. Every cent you use as a true asset is an employee. How hard your employee works for you depends on your financial risk level. And guess what? These employees work for free. Only to gain more employees for you.

Blogging now will allow me to share what I learn as I continue to learn. It is an outlet for the bottled up information about money while I make money.

So with affiliate marketing I can put out minimal effort and earn money. Even in my sleep.
